Tan Sri Datuk Eddy Chen Lok Loi was appointed as the Chairman of PR1MA Corporation Malaysia on 1 October 2018. He is currently the Group Managing Director of MKH Berhad in which under his leadership, MKH has evolved into one of the top property players in Malaysia.
With 36 years of experience in property development and construction related businesses, he has effectively steered the housing industry through the Asian Financial Crisis by the implementation of home ownership campaigns during his tenure as the President of Real Estate and Housing Developers’ Association (REHDA). He presently serves as the Patron of REHDA Malaysia as well as the Board of Advisors for Malaysia Shopping Malls Association.
Tan Sri Datuk Eddy holds a Bachelor’s Degree of Business Studies (Marketing) from Monash University, Australia. He was a recipient of various awards including The Edge Malaysia Outstanding Property CEO Award 2018, the REHDA Personality Award 2013, the CIDB’s Malaysian Construction Industry Excellence Awards (MCIEA) CEO of the Year Award 2015, and one of Malaysia’s Top 30 Green Catalysts by GreenTech Malaysia at the GreenTech Awards 2014.
Encik Mohd Nazri bin Md. Shariff was appointed as the PR1MA Acting Chief Executive Officer on 16 January 2019. Prior to this appointment, he held the position of Chief Financial Officer for PR1MA since 18 July 2016.
He began his career with Clarke Walker Chartered Accountants in the United Kingdom until 1994. Upon his return, he continued his career with several major organisations including the Bank of Commerce (M) Berhad, Amanah Capital Group, a subsidiary of MMC Corporation Berhad as well as undertaking the role of Group Chief Executive Officer of Tradewinds (M) Berhad and Padiberas Nasional Berhad before joining PR1MA.
With more than 30 years of experience in finance and accounting, Encik Mohd Nazri is a member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA) and a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, United Kingdoms.
Dato’ Sri Haji Mohammad bin Mentek was appointed as a PR1MA Member of Corporation on 15 January 2019. He holds the position as a Secretary General under the Ministry of Housing and Local Government since 2015. With over 27 years of experience working with various ministries, he is also the Chairman of Solid Waste Management and Public Cleansing Corporation (SWCorp Malaysia).
Dato’ Sri Haji Mohammad holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics and a Master’s Degree in Statistics from the University of Minnesota, USA. He also holds a Diploma in Public Administration from the National Institute of Public Administration (INTAN).
Encik Jayaselan a/l K. Navaratnam was appointed as a PR1MA Member of Corporation on 15 January 2019. He holds the position as a Director General (Administrative and Diplomatic Officer) at the National Housing Department under the Ministry of Housing and Local Government (KPKT) since 2017. He has more than 24 years of experience in the Federal level of administration.
Encik Jayaselan holds a Master’s Degree of Management Studies in Project Management from the University of New South Wales, Australia, a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communication (Second Grade Honours), a Bachelor of Arts from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia, an Advanced Diploma in Business Administration from the Association of Business Executive, a Diploma in Management Accounting from the London Chamber of Commerce & Industry (LCCI) Examination Board as well as a Diploma in Public Administration from the National Institute of Public Administration (INTAN).
Datuk Kamalul Arifin bin Othman was appointed as a PR1MA Member of Corporation on 10 May 2016 and was reappointed on 10 May 2018. He was the Group Managing Director cum Chief Executive Officer of Pelaburan Hartanah Berhad (PHB) and is also a Chartered Surveyor by training with extensive experience in the investment and real estate sector.
Datuk Kamalul holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Estate Management (Honours) from Universiti Teknologi MARA and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Ohio University, Athens, USA. He is a Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, United Kingdom (FRICS) and the Fellow Royal Institute of Quantity Surveyors Malaysia (FRISM). He received his leadership education at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, Harvard University and the SAID Business School University at the University of Oxford.
Dato’ Ahmad Faris bin Yahaya was appointed as PR1MA Member of Corporation on 1 October 2018. He holds the position as the Group CEO of ORANGEBEAM Berhad, a construction and development company with over 30 years of proven track record of delivering technical and specialized projects and services.
He has over 25 years of experience in Audit, Banking, Financial Advisory and Consultancy Services. He is also a member of the Malaysian Institute of Certified Public Accountants (MICPA) and the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA).
Dato’ Ahmad Faris holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and Financial Analysis from the University of Warwick, United Kingdom and has attended Bank Negara Malaysia’s Global Leadership Development Programme at Drucker School of Management in Claremont Graduate University, Haas School of Business in the University of California, Berkeley and Marshall School of Business in the University of Southern California.
Encik Ahmad Shahrul bin Haji Mohamed was appointed as a PR1MA Member of Corporation on 1 October 2018. He began his career with Messrs. Azman, Wong, Salleh & Co. and later with Messrs. KPMG as a Certified Public Accountant and Chartered Accountant. He is one of the partners at Khairuddin, Hasyudeen & Razi’s where he is in charged of Department of Audit Services, Financial Advisory Services and Information Technology Auditing (IT Audit).
His extensive audit and financial advisory services experience includes involvement with clients from various industries such as banking and financial institutions, insurance, stock broking, transportation and logistics, plantation, property development, trading and manufacturing. In addition, Encik Ahmad Shahrul has also been involved in the recovery and restructuring of companies with various financial problems. He is an active speaker where he conducts several short-term courses for the public as well as corporate clients too.
Encik Ahmad Shahrul holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from Universiti Utara Malaysia in 1994. He is also a member of the Malaysian Institute of Certified Public Accountants (MICPA), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CAANZ) and Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA).
Sr Mohd Ali bin Abd Karim was appointed as a PR1MA Member of Corporation on 1 October 2018. He is a respected figure in the construction industry and has more than 30 years of experience in the field.
He started his career with the Department of Quantity Surveyors Malaysia (JUBM) in 1985 and was appointed as Director of JUBM Sdn Bhd in 1990, and subsequently as the Executive Chairman in 1998. Sr Mohd Ali is also an Advisor in several other corporate sectors and has an extensive experience in project management, master planning, cost planning, procurement and cost management of high-rise mega buildings as well as civil engineering for building and infrastructure projects in Malaysia.
Sr Mohd Ali holds a Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying from United Kingdom and is a member of several professional institutions including the Board of Quantity Surveyors Malaysia (BQSM), Royal Institution of Surveyors Malaysia (RISM), International Cost Engineering Council (ICECA) and Fellow Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (FRICS).
Datuk Hasleen bin Isnin was appointed as a PR1MA Member of Corporation on 15 January 2019. Prior to this appointment, he once held the position of the Chief Financial Officer of PR1MA Corporation Malaysia from year 2012 until year 2016.
He has more than 20 years of experience in the banking and commercial sector. Prior to joining PR1MA, Datuk Hasleen served in several financial institutions and multinational companies including Citibank Berhad and the Malaysian International Merchant Bankers Berhad under various managerial positions. He has also served in the President’s Office during his time with Malaysian Resources Corporation Berhad (MRCB) and was previously appointed to the Board of Directors for the New Straits Times Press, AMI Insurance, Business Day Co. Ltd (Thailand) and several other companies.
Datuk Hasleen holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Economics and a Master’s Degree in Finance from Washington University, St. Louis, United States of America.
Puan Lina binti Rahmat was appointed as a PR1MA Member of Corporation on 1 April 2019. She is presently the Director of the Federal Land Property Division under the Department of the Director General of Lands and Mines (Federal) since September 2017. She has held both the Chief Deputy Director and Deputy Director positions at several government departments since the year 2012.
Puan Lina holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Corporate Administration from Universiti Teknologi MARA, Melaka and she obtained her Master’s Degree in Land and Resource Management from Universiti Putra Malaysia.
Puan Zakiah binti Jaafar was appointed as a PR1MA Member of Corporation on 1 September 2019. She is the Deputy Secretary General of Treasury (Investment) at the Ministry of Finance. Prior to this, Puan Zakiah was the Deputy Secretary General at the Ministry of Economic Affairs (MEA), heading the macroeconomics section. Puan Zakiah began her duties in the civil service since the year 1991 and holds the responsibility of guiding several sections under the ministry including the macroeconomic framework, K-economic development and the public housing development. In year 2014, she led the secretariat for the preparation of the Eleventh Malaysia Plan (RMKe-11) and in year 2018, she became responsible to lead the secretariat for the preparation of the RMKe-12.
Puan Zakiah holds a Bachelor of Science (Honours) Degree in Economics from the University of Warwick, United Kingdom and a Master’s Degree in Economics from the University of Birmingham, United Kingdom. She also participated in the Advanced Management and Leadership Programme in the University of Oxford, United Kingdom and the Premier Executive Advanced Development Programme in Canberra, Australia. Puan Zakiah’s experience as a Board Member for PETRONAS and the Malaysia Productivity Corporation (MPC) enhances her contribution as a PR1MA Member of Corporation.
