PR1MA’s residential development in Kuala Lumpur oversubscribed by 19.7 times
KUALA LUMPUR, 31 MARCH 2018: A total of 920 lucky homebuyers were balloted for Perbadanan PR1MA Malaysia (PR1MA) latest development, PR1MA@Brickfields. The residential high-rise, located at the prime area of Brickfields, Kuala Lumpur, received overwhelming response with 18,088 applicants.
Comprising 920 residential units, PR1MA@Brickfileds will be built on a 6.37-acre site with an estimated Gross Development Value (GDV) of more than RM400 million. The apartment is scheduled for completion by 2021 and is priced from RM270,000 per unit. It also comes with facilities such as surau, kindergarten/nursery, community hall, swimming pool, gym and shop.
Replicating the success of PR1MA’s maiden project within Kuala Lumpur, PR1MA@Jalan Jubilee, which was oversubscribed by 27 times, PR1MA@Brickfields also received tremendous response from homebuyers with an oversubscription of 19.7 times. This success underscores the fact that the demand for PR1MA homes is extremely strong in key locations. It also serves as a solid testimony to the achievement of the national housing programme which targets at nurturing lifestyle-based communities for the M40 group.
“PR1MA @ Brickfields residence is located only a stone’s throw away from KL Sentral, a major transportation hub that connects the home owners with the rest of Klang Valley. Strategically located, this concept of development which is built on leveraging transit connectivity, will be the preferred development for PR1MA’s urban areas. Urban developments around transit brings tangible and intangible economic, social and environmental benefits,” said Dato’ Abdul Mutalib Alias, PR1MA Chief Executive Officer at the Ekspo Jualan Perumahan – Ke Arah Sejuta Impian (Edisi Nasional).
When contacted, Lembah Pantai Barisan Nasional Division Chief Dato’ Raja Nong Chik Bin Raja Zainal Abidin lauds this move as more homebuyers from the M40 group can now own a property in a prime real estate location and encourages the rakyat to take this opportunity.
This is also in line with the Government’s Bumiputera Agenda to increase homeownership among the Bumiputeras.
“Delivering more than just brick and mortar, PR1MA also focuses on social integration and inclusivity, combining residential projects for different income levels, as well as shared lifestyle facilities within a safe community. As PR1MA’s mandate is to offer middle-income Malaysians comfortable and quality living in a harmonious community, we aim to significantly improve the ‘people’s happiness level’ especially for the M40 group,” Dato’ Abdul Mutalib added.
The PR1MA@Brickfields development is also located along the Klang River, which is part of the River of Life (ROL) project, a Federal Government initiative to uplift and transform the surrounding areas along the major rivers into recreational and socio-economic zones. This is in line with the Greater Kuala Lumpur initiative to transform the Federal Capital into a world-class livable city.
PR1MA @ Brickfields is amongst the projects showcased at Ekspo Jualan Perumahan – Ke Arah Sejuta Impian (Edisi Nasional), which is featuring 600,000 homes across the nation by various Federal and State housing agencies.
The national edition of the expo was launched by the Prime Minister Dato’ Sri Mohd Najib Bin Tun Haji Abdul Razak on 24 March, and it is ongoing until 1 April.
