TELUK INTAN, 14 June: Perbadanan PR1MA Malaysia (PR1MA) today announced that it has signed a Heads of Agreements with Perbadanan Kemajuan Negeri Perak (PKNP) and MOCCIS, a cooperative, to develop 500 acres of land in Teluk Intan as PR1MA development. The land comprises of two state lands and one cooperative land.
Teluk Intan has grown into a thriving urban town with modern infrastructure and several universities, to name a few. With an ever expanding urban population, it is therefore timely that PR1MA is looking into development in Teluk Intan to promote greater home ownership among the middle income earners living and working in the area.
PR1MA Chief Executive Officer Dato’ Abdul Mutalib Alias urged those who are eligible for PR1MA homes to register t online at PR1MA’s website at www.pr1ma.my
“Only those who are registered with us are eligible to apply to be balloted for a PR1MA Home. We are very transparent with the balloting of homes and each registrant has an equal chance of owning a PR1MA Home,” he said.
To date, approximately 600,000 potential buyers have registered for PR1MA Homes nationwide.
Dato’ Abdul Mutalib also cautioned potential buyers to be aware of individuals claiming to act as agents of PR1MA to help secure a home.
“PR1MA does not collect deposit at the registration stage nor do we collect a fee to register. Please be careful not to be enticed by those guaranteeing you a PR1MA Home for a fee,” he said.

To be eligible for a PR1MA Home, applicants must meet several key criteria. Applicants need to be a Malaysian citizen aged 21 years and above, with preference given to residents in the area were the PR1MA development would be built.
They should also have an individual or combined gross household income of between RM2,500 and RM7,500 a month to qualify. Additionally, they should not own more than one property in Malaysia.
Eligible applicants must apply for the balloting of the homes through the PR1MA registration system via www.pr1ma.my
. Applicants are also required to submit relevant documents for screening purposes.
End financing for the homes are to be arranged by the successful applicants themselves. There is a 10-year moratorium, whereby the properties cannot be sold or transferred to another party. The homes must be owner-occupied and no subletting would be allowed.
