More than 600 PR1MA @ Woodford Estate units with a GDV of RM208 million are opened for sale
Beaufort, Sabah, 14 MARCH 2018: PR1MA@Woodford Estate, a new development in Beaufort with an estimated Gross Development Value (GDV) of RM208 million, will set a new benchmark in Government-assisted housing. Targeted to be completed by the third quarter of 2018, the development which is catered to the housing needs of the middle-income group (M40) in Sabah, uses innovative construction materials of local clay earth. It was launched today by Tan Sri Datuk Seri Panglima Musa Haji Aman, the Chief Minister of Sabah in conjunction with his working visit to the project site.
PR1MA @ Woodford Estate which is being built on 65.9 acres of land, comprises a total of 620 single and double-storey terrace houses. The selling price starts from RM240,000 per unit.
“PR1MA is committed to ensure that Sabahans, especially the middle-income (M40) group, will continue to benefit from the Government’s housing programmes. In fact, recently PR1MA together with various Federal and State housing agencies had come together to bring the nation’s largest expo to Sabah. During the Ekspo Jualan Perumahan, Ke Arah Sejuta Impian – Edisi Sabah, more than 42,000 homes from various Federal and State housing agencies including PR1MA, were showcased as part of our commitment to cater to the increasing demand for affordable homes in Sabah,” said Dato' Abdul Mutalib bin Alias, Chief Executive Officer of PR1MA.
The PR1MA @ Woodford Estate is unique in its use of special interlocking green product bricks made from clay earth from where the site is located. The interlocking blocks are thus more environmentally-friendly not only from a building material standpoint, but also in promoting lower usage of energy, as bricks made of natural soil are 30% cooler than conventional bricks.
The development is located 5km away from Beaufort Town Centre and 97km from Kota Kinabalu, and it will also have excellent connectivity to both the city and the interior districts by rail and the future Pan-Borneo Highway.
“Sabah is currently experiencing rapid socio-economic development. The spillover benefits, coupled with the expected completion of the Pan-Borneo Highway situated adjacent to the development, makes PR1MA @ Woodford Estate a good investment and a game-changer project in Beaufort Town,” Dato' Abdul Mutalib bin Aliasadded.
Equipped with lifestyle and community features to cater to the modern M40 Malaysian particularly young families, PR1MA @ Woodford Estate will incorporate amenities and facilities commonly found in projects by private developers, including a multipurpose hall, surau, child care centre and kindergarten.
Furthermore, PR1MA @ Woodford Estate will make an excellent investment opportunity for first-time homebuyers as the property value is expected to increase in tandem with the area’s socio-economic development and proximity to major road infrastructure projects.
To date, PR1MA’s Members of Corporation (MOC) has approved 267,670 units of PR1MA homes throughout the nation. Of this number, 30,155 units are under various stages of construction in Sabah, positioning it as the state with the second highest number of PR1MA homes approved for development in Malaysia. Other PR1MA developments in the state include Borneo Cove, Kota Marudu, Menggatal, Sandakan City Centre and Ranggu.
