Encik Zahrin Zakaria was appointed as
Group Chief Financial Officer of PR1MA Corporation Malaysia on 3 November 2025.
He brings over 30 years of financial leadership experience across
government-linked companies, public listed entities, and the private sector,
with proven expertise in financial management, strategic planning, and organisational
transformation.
Prior to joining PR1MA, Encik Zahrin
served as Group Chief Financial and Corporate Services Officer at UDA Holdings
Berhad. He successfully led the Group’s first RM1 billion SUKUK issuance and
secured a corporate income tax exemption for a major development project,
generating RM250 million in tax savings. He also negotiated syndicated loans
totalling RM500 million to support large-scale property developments and
implemented digital transformation initiatives that improved operational
efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and reporting accuracy.
Throughout his career, he has held senior finance roles at Indah Water Konsortium, UMW Corporation (Oil & Gas Division), and MMC Oil & Gas Engineering. He played a key role in national industry restructuring efforts, including presenting sector reforms to the Malaysian Cabinet and Economic Council. He also spearheaded the implementation of new ERP and contract management systems, strengthening financial controls, governance and operational efficiency.
Encik Zahrin holds a Bachelor of Accountancy from Universiti Utara Malaysia and is a member of the Malaysia Institute of Accountants (MIA).
